My career began as a secondary choral music director, then served as Assistant Professor of Music at Indiana State University, director of the Old Gold Singers at the University of Iowa, and chairman of the Commercial Music Department at Lamar State College.
After those positions, I left the education sector to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry, where I wrote scripts, composed music, and directed for Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World Taiwan, and many other clients worldwide.
Weary of the road, I returned home to focus on writing. I have always told stories, whether those I told my little sister when we were children or later, through my music, lyrics, and scripts. Now I write books. You’ll find me these days parked in my study with a beautiful view of Southeast Texas, learning more about my craft every day and creating stories whose characters navigate their worlds, sometimes against formidable odds.
